Mr. John Harrigan
Principal Harrigan is proud to be in his fifth year serving the Jefferson High School community. Throughout his time at JHS, he has come to deeply appreciate the strong sense of community among students, staff, and families. Jefferson is a place where people care for one another, support one another, and work together to help students succeed.
Before coming to Jefferson, Principal Harrigan served as a Vice Principal at Franklin High School for nine years. He has also served in education as an Activities Director and Special Education Teacher. He is a service-oriented, student-centered, and equity-driven leader who values collaboration, communication, and connection.
Principal Harrigan is grateful to call Jefferson home.
Mr. Jonathan Ho
Jonathan Ho joins the JHS community with experience as a high school physics/math/music teacher in the South Bay as well as a professional background in edtech startups and corporate finance. As an education professional, he has actively participated in many systems that support student learning: industry-oriented curriculum design, program management for high-need students, school accreditation, teacher preparation programs, and early literacy development. His experience as a trilingual (Spanish/Vietnamese), low-income, first-generation college student grounds him and gives him the emotional resolve to continue helping students even when circumstances are challenging. Jonathan is an enthusiastic world traveler who's been to over 30 countries, and he enjoys playing piano and directing the Peninsula Harmony Chorus in Los Altos on Monday nights.
Mr. Cesar Vega
Cesar Vega has served his entire career at Jefferson High School. He began as a student teacher in the 1999-2000 school year as a PE, Health and Economics teacher. For most of his career he taught Health and Peer Assistance where he made a strong effort to improve the Jefferson community by getting students to see the positive traits in each other. He now serves as Vice Principal where he is an equity-driven leader.. Mr. Vega is passionate about football, baseball and basketball and served as Head Coach of Jefferson’s Varsity Football, baseball and Softball teams throughout his time at Jefferson. Born and raised on the Peninsula, Cesar is a passionate SF Giants, SF 49ers and Golden State Warriors fan. In his free time, he enjoys following his favorite sports teams and spending time with his wife and two kids.

Mrs. Kathleen Kennedy
Kathleen Kennedy is excited to be joining the Jefferson High School team as a Vice Principal. Kathleen brings 19 years of experience in public education as a district administrator, Assistant Principal and classroom teacher. Most recently she was a Digital Learning Integration Designer with San Francisco Unified and her true love of working in education came with her 16+ years leading and learning in New York City public schools. As a former Special Education and Art teacher Kathleen is passionate about increasing creativity, accessibility and joy across classrooms. When she's not working Kathleen loves yoga, being outside with her dogs, spending time at the beach with her family or cooking a delicious meal for friends. A bay area native Kathleen is excited to continue to build and grow a community where she was raised.
